| Ryckevelde
ruiterpad (The Ryckevelde bridle path) explores
the park-like scenery of Ryckevelde. The area has
one of the poorest soils of the sandy region around
Bruges. This bridle path passes through a varied landscape
of forests and heath land. Along the way, you will
pass by many sights: imposing farmsteads, castles,
tree-lined fields and pastures, rows of pollard willows
and picturesque alleys. You will also explore the
domain forest Ryckevelde, Oedelem’s Mountain
and the wetlands in Assebroek.
